It is especially effective in treating whooping cough. A remedy for this involves mixing one teaspoon of fresh ginger juice with a cup of fenugreek seed decoction and honey to taste. This mixture works as an expectorant, helping clear mucus, and makes you sweat, which can help with the illness. You can make the fenugreek decoction by boiling one teaspoon of seeds in 250 ml of water until it reduces by half. Drink this mixture of ginger juice and fenugreek twice a day, in the morning and evening.

Ginger is available in two forms: fresh and dried. Both forms are useful, but fresh ginger is often used in cooking to enhance aroma, taste, and appetite. Since the taste of raw ginger is quite strong, it is usually added to cooked dishes, and it’s a common ingredient in curry powder.
